Three tour operators provided a load of two thirds of all charters in March
On April 15 Rosaviatsiya published data on the number of completed charter flights in March of this year, as well as information about the delays of the charters this month.
In total, Russian carriers performed 1,627 charter flights within a month, the Federal Air Transport Agency reports. According to the ministry, AZUR Air performed the largest number of charter flights in March - 515 flights (31.7% of the total number in March). Recall, the strategic customer of AZUR air charter flights is ANEX Tour operator.
On the second position is Norwdind airline (241 flights). If we count Norwdind and Pegas Fly flights together (PEGAS Touristik tour operator is a strategic customer of these two airlines), then the total number of charter flights in March is 308 (19% of the total number of March charters).
Royal Flight closes TOP-3, performed 231 flights in March. Its strategic partner is Coral Travel tour operator (14.2 of the total number of charters in March).
Together, these four airlines transported almost two-thirds (64.8%) of the total volume of all charter flights in the first spring month of 2019 in the interests of the three tour operators.
Over 100 charter flights in March were also operated by Ural Airlines (153) and Pobeda (120).
In total, in March 2019 Russian airlines delayed 4.9% of charter flights. This is almost the same figure as last March (4.1%). At the same time, the number of charter flights increased from 1375 in March 2018 to 1627 in March 2019.
According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, IFly made the largest percentage of delayed flights - 9.5%. But, statistics must be taken into account here - in total, in March, the airline performed 21 charter flights, delaying two of them. Flight delays were also held by AZUR Air (8.7%), Pegas Fly (3%), Red Wings (3.1%), Royal Flight (8.7%), Nordwind (1.7%), Severstal (6.2%), Ural Airlines (2%).
