The court satisfied the claim of Transaero to Tez Tour for recovery of $ 6 million
On March 12, the Moscow Arbitration Court decided to collect about $ 6 million of debt from the international tour operator Tez Tour (London) in favor of Transaero Airlines.
As follows from the information on the website of the court, the court fully satisfied the relevant claim of the airline to the tour operator.
The lawsuit came to the court in November 2016. The case was postponed several times due to the lack of tour operator’s confirmation of the notification about the process.
As previously reported, the Russian government has decided that Transaero will be bankrupt. Since October 1, 2015, the airline has stopped the sale of tickets. According to the results of the audit, conducted by the Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation, from October 26, 2015 the operator’s certificate of Transaero was canceled. The head of the department, Alexander Neradko, informed that the canceled certificate cannot be restored.
As a part of a bankruptcy case, according the court preference from Sberbank, on December 16, 2015, the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region introduced a monitoring procedure against Transaero airline. On September 13, 2017, the court declared the airline bankrupt.
