Russian low-cost airline Pobeda plans tours to Egypt
As the general director of the airline, Andrey Kalmykov, said, the carrier is waiting for a response from Egypt to start flights and sales of tours for the destination.
“We understand that we have a huge number of areas where we can fly. For example, we are waiting for a response from Egypt,” he added.
At the same time, according to observers, taken into account the fact that at the moment flights are allowed exclusively to Cairo, such a decision of the airline seems to be not entirely logical. However, in light of the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry about the imminent launch of charters to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh, it can be assumed that the air carrier expects to launch sales of tour packages with direct flights to these resorts.
This week it became known that for the second time in 2019 the low-cost airline Pobeda announced the launching of its own tour operator – Pobeda Travel. The travel operator has already opened sales of package tours throughout the airline's route network.
