Only 15% of Russians are ready to spend all their holidays in the Russian Federation
15% of Russians are ready to spend all their holidays in the Russian Federation, although 56% of Russians are planning to spend part of their vacation within the country, and part abroad. This is stated in a study conducted by Skyscanner, the search web site for flights and hotels.
Respondents explain the choice of domestic destinations by saving money or the desire to visit relatives, or interest in Russian cities (32%) and nature (23%).
The survey involved 750 Russian users of Skyscanner, 93% of whom had been abroad.
According to the ministry of Tourism, in 2014, 40 million Russians decided to spend their vacations in Russia, which is 30% more than the year before.
