Hoteliers of Israel are willing to give special prices for Russian tourists, said Head of the Ministry of Tourism of Israel in Russia and CIS Ksenia Kobyakova. She noted that it might be an average discount of 10%.
The Israeli hotels are interested in keeping tourist flow from Russia and ready to become members of this program, which can be accepted for the May holidays," Kobyakova said on the international tourism exhibition "Summer -2015 "in Yekaterinburg. She noted that some Israeli hotels already provide a discount on average by 10%.
According to her agency, the tourist flow from Russia to Israel reduced by 25% from November 2014 to March 1. "At the end of 2014 the Russians took the second place in the number of tourists arriving in Israel. The share of Russian tourists in Israel is 17%, which is about 600,000 people”, Kobyakova clarified. “This is 1% less than the number of tourists from United States."
Kobyakova noted that they expect large number of tourists from Russia in the Easter and May 9. "Israel celebrates Victory Day, and tourists from Russia come to us for this celebration. This year will be no exception," Kobyakova said.
Meanwhile, the Israeli authorities develop programs to support financially charter flights from Russia to Eilat. “I cannot say the exact percentage of the grant, but the refund will be good," Kobyakova said. She added that Israel is planning to increase the number of contracts with Russian tour operators.
