AZUR AIR Airline announces the change of the Airport of location in Moscow

AZUR air, the largest Russian charter carrier, announces the beginning of the transition of its Moscow flights to Vnukovo International Airport from October 1.
The transition will be carried out in several stages. It is planned that the relocation of the fleet will be completed by the end of October. The initial phase involves the relocation of aircraft like Boeing 737-800. Next, Boeing 757-200 will start to fly from Vnukovo, and by the end of the month it is planned to transit all the long-range airplanes.
Thus, starting from November, according to the schedule of aircraft operations, the flights from Vnukovo will be performed by all the fleet of the airline. The gradual transition of the fleet is connected with the need to establish technological processes for servicing passengers and aircraft of the airline, as well as to carry out mutual integration of information systems of the carrier and the airport.
From Moscow, the airline performs up to 40% of the total traffic. A positive trend is observed on the directions from the capital: over the first half of 2018 passenger traffic amounted up to 710 thousand people. It is an increase of 8.8% compared to the same period of last year. For the entire 2017, AZUR air transported 1.4 million people on Moscow flights, for January-September of 2018 - 1.1 million passengers.
The change of the Moscow-based airport will provide additional comfort to the airline passengers. Vnukovo International Airport has the best transport accessibility among airports, which is provided by ground-based city transport. There is also a special night bus route. In addition, the airport Vnukovo is connected with the capital high-speed trains Aeroexpress.
In accordance with the plans of the Government of Moscow, no later than 2019, the construction of metro line to the station "Vnukovo" will be started. The development of a road network in the immediate vicinity of the airport continues. Owners of private vehicles can take advantage of convenient short-term and long-term parking both in the immediate vicinity of Terminal A and remotely with the possibility of a free transfer to the terminal.
Yuri Stogniy, General Director of AZUR air, commented "Our passengers will certainly be satisfied with the transport accessibility of the airport and the modern terminal A will make you to feel most comfortable from the very beginning of the trip".
