300 tour operators are excluded from the Federal Registry of Tour Operators
Russian Tourism Agency published on its website an order to exclude 291 tour companies from the Federal Registry of Tour Operators.
The list includes both Moscow, and regional tour operators.
Earlier, the head of legal department of the Federal Tourism Agency Izo Arakhamia reported that such updates of the the registry is a permanent job of the agency. "Some companies register again, some new tour operators also register," she said.
As Director of the Association of Tour Operators "Turpomosch" Alexander Osaulenko explained that in three months before the end of its presence in the registry, tour company is required to send a new application to Russian Tourism Agency and proof of financial guarantee.
He also noted that since January 1, 2017 will come into force a new industry law will come into force . It provides for the establishment of personal responsibility of funds, which will enable tour operators to provide their financial guarantees without insurance.
Recently 3 952 tour operators are registered in the Federal Registry, more than 2.3 thousand of them are engaged in outbound tourism.
