The poll in social media was arranged by OneTwoTrip, 1740 persons took part in it and the result was that 17% of travelers did not follow the rules of visa permission for Schengen countries. They do not enter the country which has issued the visa. 54% of respondents request for visa in embassy of the country they are going to visit. 29% request in countries which considered to be “easy” to get visa permission and they start the travelling with this country. The rest 17% do not follow the rule of first entry the country issued visa and they are in danger now. Rather often they do not entry the country of visa origin at all.
Since December 2019 the new amendments to EU visa code will come into force. And special attention will be given to the rule of first entry to Schengen zone. If the rule is broken the next visa request may be rejected. For checking the proper use of visa permissions European Parliament plans to create CIR (Common Identity Repository): the common base of passport and biometrical data.
Experts say this measure will make more uniform the requests for all Schengen countries and will make easier the situation for embassies “easy” for getting visa permissions
