MITT 2018’s Partner Region has been confirmed as Dubai, the largest and most populous city in the UAE. Located on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf, the Emirate has established itself as the leading tourist destination in the Middle East.
2017 was an extraordinary year for Dubai’s tourism sector, having welcomed 288,000 Russian tourists over the first nine months of the year – a staggering 96% more than the same period in 2016.
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing is confident that establishing new partnerships on the Russian market will go a long way in maintaining and developing this upward trend.
Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, explained: "Russia and the CIS are extremely important markets for Dubai's tourism industry, so our partnership with Russia’s largest tourism exhibition promises significant results.
“The Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of Dubai will continue to invest in the markets of Russia and the CIS to increase the tourist flow and comprehensively showcase the Emirate’s wide range of tourism opportunities. New hotels and amusement parks such as IMG Worlds of Adventure and Dubai Parks and Resorts, and other improvements to Dubai's tourism offerings are part of a strategic programme aimed at promoting and maximising opportunities for developing a strong and loyal tourist flow from Russia and the CIS."
Representatives of host operators, hotel chains and national airlines will be present at our stand. Visitors will be able to talk to representatives of our tourism industry and the Dubai Department of Tourism, and get all the information needed about our destination and how we can work together.
