According to ATOR, the tours were sold only from one legal entity, in total at least 5 thousand tours were sold with an average cost of about 30 thousand Rubles ($ 452).
“Avrora Airlines is ready to provide two airplanes for the removal of the rest part of Russian tourists from the Chinese island of Hainan”, said the governor of Khabarovsk Territory, Sergei Furgal.
"We held an emergency meeting on the tourists on Hainan Island in China. We have a solution. Aurora Airlines is ready to provide two boards", wrote the head of the region in Instagram.
“On December 16, an airplane carrying 287 tourists from Pearl River flew from Haikou (the administrative center of Hainan Province, South China) to Moscow at 10:17 local time (05:17 Moscow time)”, - reported the attache of the Russian Consulate General in Guangzhou, Grigory Kolyshkin. The tourists of Pearl River from Khabarovsk Territory, who remaining in China, may return home on December 19.
According to IrAero airline, as of December 12 there were about 1,500 tourists from Russia in Haikou, some of them had been waiting for their flight to home from December 8. The first flight returned tourists to Kazan on December 11, two additional airplanes transported tourists to Ufa and Samara on December 13. On Saturday night, another plane with 183 Russian tourists of Pearl River tour operator arrived Moscow from Haikou via Chelyabinsk. According to Federal Tourism Agency, from December 12 to December 14 almost 1.2 thousand customers of Pearl River were transported from China to Russia.
Aurora Airlines, which is expected to return tourists to Khabarovsk from Chinese island of Hainan, estimated the cost of the flights at 15 million Rubles ($ 225,790).
As of December 17, there are 127 residents of Khabarovsk Territory on Hainan, 33 of them are children. Tourists could not return home because of problems with Pearl River tour operator. The authorities of Khabarovsk Territory have agreed with airline on transportation of tourists. The carrier can provide two aircraft, but for this Aurora has to obtain permission to land in China. After getting permission the airline’s planes are ready to take off for tourists on December 19.
