About five hundred Russian tourists cannot fly from Mexico

“About 500 Russian tourists cannot return to their homeland from Mexican Cancun”, - told the Honorary Consul in Quintana Roo state Armina Volpert in interview with Russian Information Agency “RIA Novosti”.

"The number of the charter flight of Rossia airline is FV5882. The passengers were put down from the airplane after eight hours waiting of take off. According to information from the airport, the delay of the flight was due to non-payment of the airline", - the Consul said.

According to Volpert, now the passengers connect with the consulate and the embassy to get assistance. At the present time there is no data concerning the departure of the aircraft.

At the same time, the airline said that Rossia has no debt to the airport. According to its representative, flight FV5882 was planned to departure on January 16 at 18:10 of Moscow time.

"But according to unexpected demand of the emigration control of the United Mexican States, four citizens of Armenia were to be deported by this Rossia’s flight. For this reason the airport did not give permission for takeoff of the airliner", - the representative of the airline said.

The expectation of the deportees lasted four hours, but the Mexican aviation authorities did not give permission to fly. According to the requirements of the Russian aviation legislation, the working hours of the crew has ended, so the time of departure of the flight was shifted on January 17.

The permission to take off of the airliner can be got after 20:00 of Moscow time and not earlier, when the working day of the representatives of Mexican aviation authorities will begin.
